A Telephoto snap from one of our many trips to Mueller hut, in Aoraki Mount Cook national park.
This time with a generous coating of snow.
I remember “post-holing” in the snow, hip deep a couple of times in places where the rocks had formed a cavity under a deep patch of snow.
On our way back to the hut after clambering up Mt. Ollivier, I hung back to capture the warm light of the setting sun on the peak of Aoraki.
